Staffseoul was founded in March 2000. At that time, directors in charge of planning, production, technology, stage and sound got together in a small office at Seoul Arts Center. They started the business in order to ensure better production management based on their professional knowledge and on-site experience. By 2002, Staffseoul grew into a limited-liability company. Since its founding, the company has focused on establishing a production and operation system optimized for the performing arts scene.
Using its professional knowledge, on-site experience and human resources, Staffseoul carries out diverse management projects including theater venue management, permanent performances and internal festival planning. The company has a simple goal of making a system gathering together stage staff members who are scattered as freelancers. This is help them share their information efficiently. Examples of Staffseoul’s tasks are as follows: 1. directing and production management in different genres of the performing arts (e.g. theater, dance, traditional Korean music and classical music), 2. technical support for those working on the stage, lighting and sound, 3. planning and management of festivals and 4. consulting for the design of performance venues.
Staffseoul offers a better production management system and true technical services. Its members sometimes take a break or leaves the company for a while. But in time of need, they collaborate again to use their enthusiasm intensively. This is the secret behind Staffseoul’s capacity to make a better performance production system.
